After about 1,000 hours and 22 months work, OUT Lancair Legacy (N542DF) took to the air in April 2008. Thanks to Lancair for its continued support and encouragement; Ken and the staff at Lycon for the IO-360 with MT propeller, which puts out 228 hp; Josh and his staff at Airtronics for the excellent work and ongoing support on the panel (Garmin 530W GPS, SL40 nav/comm, Dynon electronic flight instrument system/engine monitoring system, plus steam gauge backups); ArtCraft for the paint (design by Don Barnes); and Josh at High Performance Aircraft Training for type training and first test flight. The Legacy is a pleasure to fly locally and cross-country.
